A soft, slow burn LGBT+ historical romance visual novel about personal growth and belonging in 1870s London.
Logline
In 1875 London, an editorialist and a gentleman have an unusual first meeting through a misconstrued personal ad. Their paths intertwine as they struggle against their own regrets and ways, and they must decide which to follow: their hearts, or the status quo.

Of Sense and Soul is a late-Victorian character-driven slice of life romance visual novel and the first game by Forsythia Productions. It will be available for PC, Windows, and Linux.
This game is made using the Ren'py Visual Novel Engine.

Of Sense and Soul will include ...
- A story from two perspectives: Play as either of two protagonists and navigate their lives through the smog-covered streets of Victorian London. Each of Hugo and Seamus' player routes will be 12 chapters long, including multiple unique endings per route. OSAS will contain about 100,000 words of story in 24 total chapters, comprising approx. 8-12 hours of gameplay.
- Stunning scene direction and varied sprite animations enhance the narrative's emotionality and pacing.
- Beautiful watercolour-inspired artwork, including lovingly rendered backgrounds, semi-realistic character art, and 18 scene illustrations/CGs, accompanies the story with attention to realistic historical detail.
- A diverse cast of main and background characters who flesh out Hugo and Seamus' lives and stories.
- Unique choice menus, including optional timed choice menus and letter/journal entry composition menus, shift the future depending on the tone you take.
- A fully original soundtrack inspired by contemporary and historical music.
- Multiple accessibility options including text font options, speaker sprite highlighting, audio captions, and timed choice toggle to help tailor your gameplay.
